"Deuxième cuvée officielle de Long Pond, ce rhum sait faire parler ses atouts. Très élégant, le nez assemble parfaitement les notes d’esters et de vernis à ongles aux fruits exotiques et aux fruits rouges, le tout arrondi par le massepain, des épices douces et un boisé bien fondu. En bouche, une véritable concentration aromatique se forme sur les fruits tropicaux : banane, ananas, fruit de la passion, papaye, sans oublier les agrumes (zestes de citron) s’expriment librement. Le boisé épicé et les esters sont ici plus en retrait. L’alcool est très bien intégré. La finale, relativement longue, reprend la main avec les esters, le vernis, le boisé aux épices parfumées et les fruits exotiques. Un très bon rhum sur le papier, qui a tout pour plaire à un détail près : le prix, ici stratosphérique et incohérent pour une cuvée pareil."

"High Ester and PX finish always go well together. The rum seems very young and tastes very high ester. The sherry finish is rather subtly pronounced and could be more present for my taste."

"Mir fällt zuerst die frische und blumige Nase auf. Hätte ich blind eher Port Mourant zugeordnet. Gefällt mir schon mal sehr gut. Das blumige taucht am Gaumen nicht wieder auf. Trotzdem bleibt der Rum eher wie ein sehr ausdrucksstarken Port Mourant. Der lange Nachklang setzt sich homogen fort. Erst ganz zum Ende blitzen ein paar Fruchtester auf. Sehr guter Rum, untypisch für Long Pond. Perfekt zur Verwirrung in einem blind Tasting."

"Today a relaxed easy sipper. Balanced ratio between floral Agricole notes and the oloroso sherry finish. So the finish did the Agricole good. Not sweet, rather slightly musty-sour-smoky. Sounds worse than it tastes now 😉 It's not a burner, but it's not a failure either, just ideal for a weekday evening, no need to ponder it much. I like it! Nice pick of a previously unappreciated rhum."

"Had a nice tasting this past weekend with a lot of SBS. First off, price to quality is pretty good on this one. I would have loved a higher ABV because it would have given more to the flavours. Besides that the nose has a light funky touch and the profile is nicely fruity. The wood in the profile is also very nice without being too dominant."

"Hier ein eindeutiger Vertreter des „spanischen Stils“. Nase: zunächst kommt der Alkohol unangenehm stechend daher und der Rum wirkt sehr metallisch. Das habe ich häufiger bei rel. jungen „Spaniern“. Dahinter wird er fruchtiger, mit saurer Limette, Sauerkirsche und Apfel. Zudem würzig-schokoladig-holzig mit Vanille und Kakaopulver. Insgesamt unaufgeregt. 72 Gaumen: auch hier zu Beginn alkoholisch-metallisch, dann kommt aber schnell eine angenehme würzig-holzige, schokoladig-lakritzige Note. Das Ganze leicht bitter und hinten cremiger werdend. 74 Der hohe ABV ist nicht so gut integriert, transportiert aber die Aromen und erzeugt die angenehme cremigkeit. Solide aber mehr auch nicht."
