"This release was bottled between 2002 and 2005 and it's virtually impossible to get your hands on one today. A very nice edition from Zacapa that also explodes in your mouth. They have released XO versions since this one but they're not an exact match though pretty close. "

"Nase: Würze überwiegt, Lakritz, Vanille aber auch Tabak und Noten von Klebstoff. Gaumen: Malzig röstige Aromen zu Beginn, Holz und Noten von Kakao oder dunkler Schokolade. Frucht dezent im Hintergrund. Sehr mild und rund. Abgang: Malzig und leicht kräuterig Fazit: wunderbar abstimmter Alkoholgehalt in einem würzigen Rum, der stark an einen Whisky erinnert. Leckerer Tropfen."

"Now we're getting somewhere. This one is far better than the first one we tried. Heavier in a way and far more power in the flavours. The wood and spices are there as well as the salty ocean with fruits and licorice. At release the price to quality was very good."

"This is a very good release. Be sure to rest it for a good while or it'll bite you both the nose and palate. Once settled it's nice and fruity with very well integrated wood and spices. The palate is warm/spicy with some wood shop notes and the finish lingers for very long. Nice curtains and the empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some chocolate and tobacco."

"This is a lovely rum and slightly different from the rest in my mind. The nose is intense withwood, overripe fruits and spices. I can also find varnish and honey in there. A wonderful nose. The palate is well balanced and complex with wood and lots of fruits and spices. I also find light caramel and varnish. The finish is long and warm with smoky wood with spices and fruits. Overall a very good rum."

"Je connaissais déjà le Courcelles 1972 de cet embouteilleur suisse. Ici un rhum plus vif mais avec du sucre brun de la crème anglaise et de l’ananas au nez. Une bouche ample, complexe avec toujours des notes pâtissières. Une finale moyenne avec une belle amertume et un boisé léger. J’aime beaucoup, un rhum qui a beaucoup à offrir !"

"Vive le rhume... Ça vous permets de supporter des hauts volumes d'alcool... 60.1° et pas de poils de nez toastés... Youhouuu... Aaahh Barbades quand tu nous tiens... Floral, fruité rond... Toujours un plaisir. Allez hop... En bouche... L'alcool est là... Maman qu'elle force qui exalte les saveurs... Après que celui-ci disparaisse le floral est en tête puis les douceurs viennent... La fin est longue florale, fruits confits et petite astringence en fin.... Du bonheur pour les amateurs de Barbades... Coup de coeur..."
