"Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc from Catawiki a few months ago. The distillery is owned by the Neisson family since its foundation in 1932. They uses fresh sugar cane juice from locally grown cane. After a quite long fermentation it’s distilled in a French Savalle column still installed 1938. Overall a great Agricole Blanc that’s very good neat, but a little weak in a Ti Punch."

"A really good Jamaican style rum with a real punch. I'd say most may need a few drops of water to make it a lot more digestible. Rest for 15-20 minutes for all flavours to be released. Has more bang for your buck than the 92 proof version."

"A surprising rum, very fruity on the nose, with peach (the fruit) standing out. On the palate, it's a little hot, but still very fruity, with peach and strawberry, almost artificial like a fruit brandy. It's a shame it's so diluted, but I like its fresh, fruity character. A rum with lots of freshness, very expressive. A thin but fairly long finish."

"tasted together with the Habitation Velier and the Glass Cask. The FAQ is much more brute than the Velier, with a more pronounced Äppelwoi-Vinegar note. The Glass Cask is even more intense than the FAQ. With the FAQ, a nice aniseed cookie note is added after a while. On the palate, the Velier is a bit more floral than the two competitors, but both bring a nice, long spicy-sweet finish. My favorite of the three remains the Habitation Velier. It is not as intense, but is the most balanced/coherent."

"This one is slightly better than the Eximo and the first thing is that this one has g far more wood to it. I guess many wont like the woody notes. The nose is fruity with vanilla followed by coconut and caramel. A hint of sherry is there as well. The palate is balanced and sweet with fruit and vanilla. Caramel, molasses and sherry follows. Here the oak really hits you, seriously. The finish is also full of oak, sweet and fruity with spices. Looking at the price the Eximo is the better option considering price to quality. "

"I think this is a very under rated rum. It's in the cheaper end yet its complexity is very convincing. A wonderful sweet, fruity and spice nose going into a complex well balanced heavy palate. The finish is long, a bit sweet and has a nice peppery sting to it. Price to quality is very good. "

"This is one of the 3 releases of the XV and it's pretty good actually. The nose starts off with a lot of caramel, in a good way, then goes into candied fruits wit some oakiness to it. The palate continues with the fruits and some leather and spices. The Port cask is definitely there and I like it. The finish is medium to long, astringent with vanilla and sweetness to it. Price to quality is good. "

"This is a very nice and easy sipping rum from Mount Gay. A typical Bajan rum in nose and palate. The nose is elegant with spice, a bit of orange and charred barrel. The palate starts off with a bit of sweetness, spicy and a bit dry. There is some leather and earthyness to it as well. The finish is medium long, dry and with charred oak and ginger. Again a tiny bit of earthyness on the way out. "

"The tasted one here is from batch 002. Have also a bottle from batch 001, unopened. I tasted it the first time during my vacation in Antigua down at a restaurant in Falmouth Harbour. Thought that the nose was great, but the nose of the port version is even better. But nevertheless this is a great rum, well worth trying, that’s very complex and has a great finish."

"The tasted one is from batch 002. Have also a bottle from batch 001, but haven’t tasted it yet. My guide during my visit at the distillery told me that they’re most pleased with the Port Cask Finish, of the three, in batch 002. I’ll drink to that! It has a fantastic nose and the taste is very distinct with great flavors and a very pleasant finish."

Top review from TheRhumhoe:

Top review from cigares :

Schade. Aber nicht so süß wie andere Spanier."

"In nose it’s fruity, grassy and spicy. On the palate it’s the same and I can recognize banana, citrus, ginger, nutmeg and sugar cane flavors The rather long finish goes in the same direction. Overall a very smooth Agricole Blanc, not very demanding. Maybe a good entry to the world of Agricole Blanc."

"You get a lot for your money here and I do recommend people to give it a try. I do know its not the top range but still a very good blend. Leave to rest for a while to get the full experience. The nose is fresh and intense with wood, vanilla and plum as well as light cocoa and roasted notes. The palate is well balanced with fruit, wood, vanilla, cocoa, tobacco and light nuts. The finish is medium to long with dried fruit, wood and chocolate. Leave the glass for a few hours and nose it again for even stronger flavours."

"I’m going through my cocktail rums and this is one of my more recent acquisitions. It’s one of the go-to rum for haute cocktail bar Death & Company and I can see why. Great price, surprisingly complex flavor from the mix of 7 nation sources (mostly english style). Highly recommended assuming you can get it for under 30 euros. Not terrible as a sipper but straight up great as a cocktail rum."

"Another nice tasting finished, this time with rums from the Domenican Republic. This is not the best rum from this manufacturer and it is confusing in the taste to say the least. Vanilla is extremely dominant in this version and despite me liking vanilla in my rum, this one is too pungent. "
