"Waouw. Bravo M. Ricci.

"Beautiful single cask from cihuatan from El Salvador. Personally, a little too cognac-like, a little too woody and "vinous" and the alcohol could be better integrated. Overall, however, solid sfoff and probably the oldest single barrel from El Salvador to date! And in direct comparison to the predecessor definitely much better!"

"Horny shit. Only 3y old and so delicious, mild and complex! Horny balanced by the alcohol content, dirty and intense after dark in butter baked popcorn, plus dark chocolate cookies with red fruits, dates and lots of spices. Neat tannins and sulfur, as well as toasted barrel notes and salted pretzels and again buttered popcorn round out the whole. Very awesome! For me, an absolute board. Makes an incredibly horny old fashioned and Mai Tai🤤 for me probably the absolute benchmark as far as rum from Madeira is concerned!"

"The quite long finish goes the same way as at the palate. This brand was founded 2002 when Guillaume Drouin teamed up with Francois Longueteau at the Esperance/Longueteau Distillery to create an Agricole made from blue cane. Karukera is by the way the Carib’s name on Guadeloupe."

"incredibly bitter-fruity-sweet beast of a Guyana rum, burnt fruit, wood and lots of allspice and other spices. i absolutely must test this in a Guyana Swizzle! still for me one of the most balanced diamonds so far. most others are clearly too woody, bitter and licorice for me."

"This one is rather unique in its flavours and it definitely needs to rest and I found that adding a few drops of water would open it op a lot more and also reduce the wood domination. The nose is is intense with wood and tannins and trailing fruits as well as a medicinal note. The palate is also intense with wood and tannins trailed by pineapple, grass and menthol as well as a hint of floral and medicinal notes. The finish is long and spicy with wood and apple. Price to quality is pretty good."

"#4063 With the price tag this rum had i thought it a mixer rum, but you can actually enjoy it as a sipper as well. Fruity and floral and it has a nice balance. I wonder what would happen if lemon cest was added 😊 Lightly dry on the palate and the empty glass has licorice notes."

"Quite light compared to the Alfred and certainly compared to the Antoinette. This is the youngest of the three and it shows in comparison. For 94€ there are frankly far better rums to be had. That being said the flavor is well integrated and the mix of rhum traditionnel and agricole is generally successful, it’s just a bit expensive for what it is."

Top review from Rhum Mirror 🇧🇪:

"The nose and palate is a little bit weak and the finish is medium long. It isn’t as complex as and can’t really compete with other Bajan rums with similar aging. But the quite low price makes it very price worthy and makes it a very competitive everyday rum."

"This Rum from Polynesia is all about citrus fruits. The nose starts with a strong alcoholic mark like mescal accompanied by the smell of lime and some slight notes of bergamot. The taste stays citric and alcoholic with the bergamot now more in the foreground and the lime more in the back. The finish comes with some surprising notes of pear and is still citric, but now a little bit more like grapefruit and still the lime. It stays a little bit longer in the upper part of the mouth, but not too long. Nice rum, especially because it is very different from the Caribbean ones."
