"Unfassbar geile und Recht typische HERR Grand Arome Nase nach Erdbeere, Olivenlake, Tropenfrüchten und dazu etwas kandierte saure Johannisbeere. Aromatisch setzt sich sich die saure Johannisbeere durch, dazu leichte Essig Noten, etwas salzige Olivenlake und dann im Abgang recht viele Tannine und eine schöne bitter-süße Würze, die an gegrillte karamellisierte Ananas mit Melasse oder fast schon Ananas tepatche mit Zimtrinde erinnert. Wirklich gut, komplex und lecker!"

"Mein erster gereifter Savanna HERR, zufällig in einem Restaurant entdeckt. Geruch und Geschmack waren eine große Überraschung. Die Fruchtigkeit des HERR und die Reife- und Fassaromen harmonierten hervorragend. Geschmacklich sehr intensive vergorene Fruchtaromen und eine gewisse Eleganz des Cognacfasses ergänzen sich wunderbar. Der Abgang ist unglaublich lang und liegt noch auf der Zunge, wenn die Rechnung längst bezahlt ist. Was wäre das genial, wenn es besser erhältliche und bezahlbare Herrs gäbe!"

"This was my favourite Savanna and rum of the tasting. Nice complexity and lovely balance between the fruit, caramel and spices and you could also get some molasses. I really liked the light smoky feel and wood in this release. Chocolate comes at the end of the palate. Yummy 😊"

"Tasted at Rhum Fest Paris 2024. This is one of the savanna I love, the only sidenote is that for a couple of hours after the dram nothing was even noticeable:S Typical Herr, explosive and long lasting in the mouth. I love it"

"Overall a very special Agricole quite far from the ones from the Caribbean, thanks to the medicinal nuances together with the strong aromas and tastes of Cognac. This rum from the Savanna distillery in Reunion is a 7 yo single cask distilled in their Creol still in 2002 that after some rest was put in a ex-Cognac cask in 2004 and bottled in 1032 numbered bottles at ABV 46% in 2012, so it’s in fact 7 years and 5 months old."

"Very unusual Savanna... On the one hand, some mint, pineapple, coconut, strawberry, white chocolate, dried and sulfured apricots and on the other hand slightly salty green olive brine and young oak. Overall relatively round but overall not quite my thing."

"Au nez, c'est d'abord très boisé et épicé. Je sens des fruits compotés, presque une odeur de Calvados. En bouche, toujours le bois, des tannins, du poivre. Du fruit en fin de bouche. L'alcool est très présent. Le sucre aussi. A l'aération, la bouche est plus sèche encore, presque astringente. Malgré tout, c'est très agréable. Belle découverte. Édit : alcool très présent. Si l'alcool était mieux intégré, ce serait un rhum excellent. Edit2: foutu finish sherry. C'est acté. J'arrête les rhums qui ont séjourné au contact du raisin :)"
