Terms and conditions for order requests

The submission of an order request via the RumX app constitutes your agreement to the following order request terms and conditions. Please also note our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

From time to time, RumX may, in its sole discretion, revise the Order Request Terms, and it is your responsibility to review the Order Request Terms each time you submit an Order Request through the RumX App. Your continued use of the RumX App and submission of an order request through RumX constitutes your acceptance of these changes.

How order requests work in RumX

Any order requests submitted through RumX will not be fulfilled by RumX itself. RumX does not sell alcoholic beverages. RumX has partnered with several licensed third-party vendors who sell alcohol through the RumX platform. Before the final submission of your order request, RumX will identify the particular seller that your order request is to be submitted to. It is the seller identified by RumX that is the sole party responsible for the sale of alcoholic beverages to you. Each of the sellers is fully responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

While these order terms regulate your relationship with RumX, you must consult the seller's website for any additional terms or policies that may apply to your relationship with the seller. By submitting an order request through the RumX App, you agree to all applicable seller policies, including but not limited to purchases for resale, which are not permitted on the RumX platform.

At the time you submit your order request through the RumX App, RumX will transmit your order request to the seller. The seller reviews your order request and may accept or decline your order. If it accepts your order, your payment will be processed and the Seller will ship your order in accordance with these Order Terms and the Seller's policies. Seller may reject the order request for any reason, such as insufficient inventory, pricing errors, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, or any other reason specified in the seller's policies. Cancellation of your order request

You can cancel your order within 24 hours via the RumX app (click "Cancel Order" in the order summary). Cancellation requests received outside of this timeframe may be considered by the seller at their discretion, but the seller will not consider cancellation requests submitted more than 7 days after you submit your order request. Orders that have already shipped cannot be cancelled, even if you notify RumX within 24 hours of submitting your order request. Therefore, contact RumX as soon as possible if you placed your order in error and wish to cancel it. For more information, please refer to the seller's policy. The seller may charge a restocking fee if you cancel outside of the twenty-four hour period.

Your checkout information

When placing an order through the RumX app, you must provide payment, billing, and shipping information. The billing address you provide must match the address on your credit card statement. The shipping address you provide may be different from your billing address. Please make sure that all order information is correct. Once the seller has accepted your order request and the 24-hour cancellation period has expired, changes to this information may not be possible. Age verification

Currently, only European users can use order requests via the RumX app. Alcoholic beverages may only be sent to persons who have reached the respective legal drinking age of their country. The buyer must be of legal age to purchase alcohol. The seller is responsible for verifying age and ensuring that minors do not have access. Therefore, an age verification is performed by the postal service provider (Post Ident or comparable service) when delivering the order. You will therefore need a valid ID to pick up the order.

Payment

After you place your order, payment will be processed using the PayPal or credit card information you provided. Your statement will indicate the name of the vendor identified by RumX during the checkout process who is responsible for selling and delivering alcoholic beverages to you.

When you enter credit card information, you represent that you are legally authorized to use the credit card(s) you are using in connection with a transaction initiated through RumX. RumX reserves the right to take legal action against anyone who attempts to use credit card payment information fraudulently. For more information, please refer to the seller's policy.

Shipping

After your order request is accepted by the seller, the seller will ship your order to the delivery address you provided. We recommend that you provide a business or commercial address as the shipping address to avoid the risk of incorrect delivery.

Please make sure that all shipping information is correct. Once the seller has accepted your order request, changes to shipping information may not be possible, and if they are, additional fees or penalties may apply. Also, additional fees or penalties may apply if the package cannot be delivered to the specified shipping address. For more information, please refer to the seller's policies.

The seller's shipping options will be listed at checkout. The weight of the order and the country of your delivery address will be taken into account.

Refund & Return Policy

At RumX, we are committed to ensuring that our customers are satisfied with all products they purchase through the RumX marketplace. We accept returns for both defective and non-defective products within 14 days of receiving your shipment.

Returns for Non-Defective Products

You have the right to return products within 14 days of receiving your shipment, even if the products are not defective. To be eligible for a return of non-defective products:

  • Bottles must be unopened and in their original sealed condition
  • Products must be returned in their original packaging
  • You must contact us at info@rum-x.com within 14 days of receiving your shipment to initiate the return
  • You are responsible for the cost of return shipping
  • No restocking fees will be charged

Once we receive and inspect the returned products, we will process your refund within 5 business days. The refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Returns for Defective or Incorrect Products

If you received the wrong rum or a damaged bottle, please contact us immediately at info@rum-x.com with your RumX order number and explain the issue. For each case, we will review the specific circumstances and decide in a timely manner whether the return request is valid.

You are entitled to a refund or exchange if your shipment arrives damaged or ruined, excluding damage caused by extreme temperatures. To be eligible for a refund or exchange, you must notify RumX of your claim and the reasons within 72 hours of receiving your shipment. RumX, on behalf of the seller, may require that you return the damaged products in their original packaging, or you may be required to send photos or other evidence of the damaged goods. Seller may deny your request for a refund or replacement if Seller cannot verify that the damaged Products are eligible for a refund or replacement.

In case you get a package that contains the wrong products, you will be entitled to a refund or replacement. To be eligible for a refund or replacement, you must notify the seller of your concern and the reasons within 72 hours of receiving the shipment. Seller may require you to return the defective products in the original packaging. Seller may approve a request for refund or replacement only if the products you receive are different from the products listed in the order request. The seller will reject any request for refund or replacement based on the fact that you submitted an order request for the wrong product.

For defective or incorrect products, the seller will cover the return shipping costs and process refunds or exchanges within 5 business days of receiving the returned items.

How to Submit a Return

To initiate any return (defective or non-defective), please contact us at info@rum-x.com with the following information:

  • Your RumX order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photos of the products (if applicable for damaged/defective items)

We will provide you with instructions on how to return the products. Please note that returns cannot be authorized after 14 days of receiving your shipment. Please also note that we do not accept return, refund or exchange requests for damage caused by extreme temperatures.
