"This is yet another release from the Tributo series and again a wonderful rum. I love the box it comes in. Complex and very well balanced with a bit of dried fruit and spices topped off with oak and tobacco. Very well done and it may be a bit expensive but it is also limited to 2500 bottles worldwide. "

"Tasted at Rhum Fest Paris 2024. This is one of the savanna I love, the only sidenote is that for a couple of hours after the dram nothing was even noticeable:S Typical Herr, explosive and long lasting in the mouth. I love it"

"Classic Foursquare! I am thoroughly enjoying this one, which has a lovely mouthfeel which is quite oily/creamy. It has quite a nose on it. On the palate I am getting coconut, vanilla, wood, and a natural sweetness in the background. I prefer this over the 2010 with a superior nose and mouthfeel."

"Une bouteille ouverte pour l’occasion. Un nez de placard avec de la poussière et des notes de vieille cave. Très peu de nez mais on y sent du végétal et quelques fruits. La bouche est nettement meilleure avec des fruits tropicaux et du végétal. Une belle finale longue et sur des beaux amers et toujours des fruits, et cette impression de vieille corde de chanvre qui persiste. Énormément de différence entre un nez très discret et une belle bouche ample et surtout une belle finale."

"Schöne, kupferrote Farbe. Lack, Lösungsmittel, getrocknete Früchte, Milchschokolade, Bleistift. Leichtes Columnprofil. Riecht richtig gut, ausgewogen. Im Mund dann recht dünn. Wässriger Holzsaft. Beim Abgang macht er dann ganz schlapp. Was soll man sagen. Er riecht außergewöhnlich gut und ab dann geht es steil bergab. Den 2021 hab ich eine Spur besser in Erinnerung. 5cl hab ich noch, da werde ich diesen Rum mal standesgemäß mit einer Zigarre genießen. Vielleicht brilliert er dann mehr."

"Das Beste an diesem Tropfen ist für mich diese tolle rötliche Farbe!! Gefährlich süffig, sehr mild, Alkohol wenig spürbar, allerdings geschmacklich auch etwas überlagert, der Rumgeschmack kommt wenig durch. Insgesamt sehr gut trinkbar, ohne dass er besonders auffällt oder im Gedächtnis bleibt. Heute zumindest stabile 74 Punkte."

"13 Jahre gelagert, 3 Fässer finish. Ist ok, aber halt auch nicht besonderes. Geruch typisch nach Kokos und vanille mit wenig Schokolade. Zumindest ist der Alkohol gut eingebunden und mild zum trinken. Für Cuba Libre ganz ok"

"Si la finition peut susciter quelques interrogations au début, ce Sampan a tout de même son charme. Le nez ne démarre pas sous les meilleures auspices avec un cerise lourde et liquoreuse, soutenue par des fruits secs, des épices fortement influencées par la vanille, du caramel et du miel. La douceur qui en ressort est même légèrement écoeurante. L’attaque en bouche efface la cerise au profit d’un rhum plus sec et complet. Le jus de canne à sucre ressort plus, avec un côté herbacé, des agrumes, du bois et des épices davantage sur le piment. Le profil est plus authentique et préserve ses arômes de la finition. L’alcool est bien intégré. La finale est peut-être ce qu’il y a de plus abouti, combinant à la fois le côté versatile du Sampan et la gourmandise de la finition. Les épices sont relevées, accompagnant les notes végétales et boisées, tandis que les fruits secs et la cerise se baladent avec les agrumes. Une jolie expression du terroir vietnamien qui joue sur les possibilités qu’offre le vieillissement."

"Der Signature Cask ist ein entspannter Gaumenschmeichler der sicherlich auch sehr gut ein Tasting eröffnen kann. Trotz der eigentlich sehr geringen Zuckermenge ist er uns ein wenig zu süß. Die Aromen sind fein und dezent."

"Allein durch die zähflüssige Konsistenz nimmt man am Gaumen schon extrem viel Zucker wahr. Blind hätte ich wahrscheinlich auf einen Likör getippt. Dafür sind die Prozente wiederum gut eingebunden. Geschmacklich sehr geschmeidig, angenehm, sehr süß, etwas Holz, Tabak, Pflaume, nicht wirklich komplex, kurzer Abgang. Auch wenn ich Nichtraucher bin, kann ich mir den zur Zigarre sehr gut vorstellen."

"Am Gaumen merkt man schon durch die zähflüssige Konsistenz einen wahrscheinlich hohen Zuckeranteil. Insgesamt sehr rund, angenehm, sehr süß, etwas wenig Geschmack, etwas bitteres Holz, Walnuss und Alkohol, kurzer Abgang. Zur Zigarre sicher passend."

"#4452 04.11.2023 preparing a tasting for next weekend for a group of 4. All rums are in the "war" spectrum 😂 I'd call this and infinity rum because it's been bemlended from many different releases across the spectrum from unaged to Caroni. Pretty good for the price. Medium fruity with caramel and caramel. The finish is medium long and sweet."

"Very classic malaga-rum raisins in the nose. Sweet. Honey and vanilla. Some rye influence but not much. A bit like a mix between Panama and Worthy Park. In the taste the virgin oak comes through. Indeed rye/bourbon. Wood spices. Banana. Warm and sharp. Not a bad mix though. The balance is alright. I get that people find the rye part too dominant in taste, but the rum (especially in the nose) is still very present. This might be a convincing dram to lure the whisk(e)y drinkers into the rumworld."

"Navy Rum bottled at Navy Strength ABV 57,5%, by the Danish independent bottler RumDeLuxe. The blend is classic when it comes to the four delivering countries. From nose via palate to the quite long finish I recognize caramel, dark chocolate and some licorice notes. Unfortunately it’s way too sweet in my opinion. Haven’t read anything about it somewhere, but it’s hard to believe that they haven’t added sugar to it."
