"Another nice surprise when tasting this one at a rum event in Copenhagen. The nose is wonderfully fruity with some coffee and a tail of wood. The palate is nice and complex while well balanced between alcohol and fruit and spices. In the back i get some wood and nuttyness. The finish is long and fruity with some vanilla and wood. "

"Schöner new Yarmouth.

Top review from Christoph:
"Ingenious Navy Rum you notice the long maturation. In the tasting comparison, most found the Last Consignment better, I personally liked the 40Y due to the even stronger maturation that you notice clearly in comparison better. Less fruity, but woodier, mustier than the Last Consignment. Arr!"

"It was just a very small bottom as a taster (it’s morning after the night shift) and I drank it relatively fast, but I liked it. Good value for money for a LP of that age if you compare it with the likes of the Rom de luxe wild series (and even the 15 year old ITP from the distillery, but that price is quite absurd)."

"#4608 10.02.2024 tasting event at the Nobilis Warehouse, Haderslev. This is a very well rounded rum considering its age. A big surprise and many bought a bottle to bring home. Nose Light wood and roasted notes, faint smoke, fruity, round, light medicinal. Palate Well rounded, light wood and roasted notes, fruity, round, balanced, light caramel, anise. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, round, raisin, chocolate."

"#4022 This one packs a nice punch from pouring to nosing and drinking. Once resting you get a fresh and fruity Jamaican with nice wood and spice. The palate is lightly dry and intense. The cask finish is there without being too dominant and I like it. The empty glass has the same nice and intense nose with some light leather notes."

"Bought this bottle to a very good price from Catawiki. This Damoiseau 10yo rum is a blend of rums from the Bellevue distillery in Moule on the island of Grande-Terre in Guadeloupe. It have spent a minimum of 10 years in ex-Bourbon oak barrels with a capacity of 190 liters. The finish is quite long and the tastes are prolonged. As a summary a great and elegant rum."

Wirklich leckerer sipper und Mal was anderes!

"Retasting at the German Rum Fest 2023. ----- I like drinking Madeira as well and it's definitely in the profile and a bit too dominant in my opinion. Fruity with roasted wood and nicely oily on the palate. Draws really nice curtains in the glass."

Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall an interesting and quite powerful rum, “Fuerte” means powerful, with lots of similarities to Agricole rum. Btw, I’ve heard that Spain wants to change the EU-regulations around agricole so that even the Canary Islands officially can produce agricole. I tasted it at Herida Brands stand at the Stockholm Beer & Spirits Fair 2023. This rum, Tres Hombres Ed. 62 “La Palma Fuerte”, from the Aldea distillery in La Palma, Canary Islands, is made from “guarapo" which is sugar cane juice. The rum was then collected by the cargo sailboat Tres Hombres in 2022, then aged for 10 years. Onboard at sea the rum spent 6 months in barrels earlier contained Sherry Oloroso, Moscatel and Porto Tawny. Back in Amsterdam it’s blended and married for some more time before bottled in 1336 bottles at ABV 44%."

"#4584 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit Normally I really don't like peated/smoky rums, but they did reach an equilibrium with the peat. Nose Wood, light roasted, medium peat, dried fruit, light nutts, earthy. Palate Wood, medium peat, faint smoke, dried fruit, light nuttyness. Finish Medium long, wood, raisin, peat, light earthy note."
