"We had a nice Agricole evening yesterday and the lineup was really good. I'll start with the last one first. A grand Agricole from the top shelf. Really well balanced with light fruit and age shown in the elegant wood on the profile. Light caramel and licorice in the back of the profile. Not a cheap bottle but definitely a good one and I will go hunting for one if u can find it at a good price."

"A very fresh nose. Camphor, glue, polish, then with a little breathing it becomes less. Fresh fruit (citrus, apricot and especially peach can be detected). Some oak. Crisp and complex. A few drops of water bring out cookie dough and macaroons.In the mouth then very crisp, keeps changing until swallowed.The finish is very nice and long.A very good complex Bielle, the typical fruitiness and the typical licorice are withdrawn. In return there is a pronounced minerality and freshness."

"Un Saint James qui se fait remarquer par sa douceur et sa complexité. Le nez oscille avec douceur entre la fraîcheur végétale, les notes de fruits rouges et tropicaux, le bois, la vanille, le caramel, le cacao et le café. En bouche, on retrouve des saveurs similaires qui se mélangent tout en finesse. La texture du rhum est exquise : crémeux, onctueux, un peu gras et bien fourni en arômes, notamment sur les épices, le bois, le café et le chocolat. La finale est longue et porte sur des notes de cuir, de rôti, de bois et de café notamment, suivis de caramel et de fruits. Un vrai régal gustatif, au rapport qualité / prix excellent."

"Got a sample of this one yesterday and I placed an order for a bottle right away. A complex and well balanced release with fruity notes and lovely spices. The wood and dried fruits are balanced very well with the flavours of brown sugar. I can only recommend this rum if you like Longueteau. Price to quality is very good in my mind."

"Un joli Single Cask signé par Karukera. Le nez fait parler les notes agricoles très prononcées d’herbes, de fleurs, de terre, de canna à sucre et de menthol, avec en arrière-plan un soupçon de vernis très subtil mais qui fait la différence au nez par rapport à un rhum agricole classique. C’est surprenant de sentir cela ici, et très agréable. Les fruits exotiques, le citron vert et les fruits secs s’allient aux épices douces (vanille, cannelle) et au bois pour donner un mélange complexe, équilibré et plaisant. En bouche, l’attaque se veut encore très végétale et florale, la canne à sucre et les herbes n’étant pas loin. On ressent aussi instantanément l’acidité des agrumes (citron vert) et des fruits exotiques. Les notes boisées et épicées apportent une certaine sécheresse au palais, qui s’en retrouve dérouté par autant de saveurs relativement opposées, mais le mélange opère bien. Il faut penser à aérer le rhum pendant un certain temps, sous peine de se confronter à une bête difficile à dompter. L’alcool pourrait être un peu mieux intégré. La finale a moins d’impact que l’entrée en bouche, et laisse le côté sec agricole, la fraîcheur végétale et la chaleur des épices comme dernières impressions à la dégustation. Un bon rhum agricole qui offre un joli tour en Guadeloupe avec un profil original et relevé comme il faut."

"Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc from Catawiki a few months ago. The distillery is owned by the Neisson family since its foundation in 1932. They uses fresh sugar cane juice from locally grown cane. After a quite long fermentation it’s distilled in a French Savalle column still installed 1938. Overall a great Agricole Blanc that’s very good neat, but a little weak in a Ti Punch."

"Smell I like better than 105 with a particular note of yogurt (or nougat?), but very dry and sharp drinking experience. Compared to other Martinique rums (Depaz, HSE...) Neisson is characterized by more vegetal and fresh sugar cane notes."

"Nice rum, but a little under compared to batch1. The presence of a slight solvent note I liked less and it is less intense. However, we are talking about finesse and personal taste. We are dealing with a rum that I would drink all the time! I do not understand all these new versions of Hampden Velier that I find little different from each other and especially pòco justified in terms of value for money. Velier lately is focusing too much on collectors with the result of making the bottles unobtainable already upon release and overpriced."

"A very good Bielle indeed. The nose just races at you once poured and the fruits are there with wood, menthol and polish. After resting i get a hint of marzipan. The palate is wonderfully fruity with wood and menthol and at the end i get a whif of licorice. The finish is long and lightly bitter with wood and oranges."

"Il s’agit d’un Rhum Agricole blanc Longueteau 50% dans lequel on a fait macérer pendant plusieurs semaines du Maracudja (Fruit de la passion en créole). Embouteillé à 25% Pour info, les fruits proviennent du domaine du Marquisat de Sainte Marie. L’endroit même ou Longueteau cultive également ses cannes à sucres. Au nez : fruit de la passion gorgé de sucre En bouche : une douceur incommensurable, on voyage directement et s’imagine siroté un jus de fruit de la passion au bord de la piscine de Basse Terre. Un vrai délice, parfait pour l’apéro. Le seul problème ? Les petits grains de Maracudja qui s’accumulent dans le fond de la bouteille mais surtout que la bouteille part bien trop vite …"

Der Abgang ist fruchtig, etwas süß und bitter, nach Pampelmuse. Dieser Ti Arrange ist etwas für zwischendurch, oder einen schönen Abend mit Freunden. "An old, but probably mostly continental aged LP already sounds good.Nose: despite the almost 60% initially quite closed. Spicy and slightly woody attack with lots of citrus, lime and tangerine. Behind it a subtle honey note. Matching like vanilla and sweet, soft licorice.Palate: very pleasantly restrained. Spicy-woody with deep esters and a nice umami note. Restrainedly fruity with lemon zest and sour cherry. There's also some licorice in the background again. In addition, something Fiji-usual pencil lead, newsprint.In the yet quite short finish, still licorice, some blackberry and anise.Despite the very pleasant flavor profile a bit too closed."

"Bei diesem Ti Arrange dominieren die Früchte, wie bei den anderen Arranges. Dieser Rhum Arrange ist dazu herb mit einer leichten Suesse, erinnert mich an Campari. Dieser Ti Arrange besticht nicht durch seine Suesse, sondern eher durch den herben Geschmack. Eine schöne Ergänzung zu den anderen Geschmacksprofilen. Im gekühlten Zustand kommen eher die Bitterstoffe zum Tragen und er wirkt eher herb. Ich empfehle den Ti Arrange bei Zimmertemperatur zu verkosten. Sehr gutes Produkt."

"Dieser Rhum hat eine sehr frische, zitronige und florale Nase. Der Geschmack ist von pflanzlichen, floralen Noten geprägt, mit leichten kandierten Früchten. Der Abgang ist mittel mit pflanzlichen und floralen Noten, mit etwas Bleistiftspähne im Hintergrund. Als Ti-Punch ist deutlich Menthol zu schmecken, leichte Schärfe und etwas Limette am Ende. Für Einsteiger zu empfehlen. Ich bevorzuge Rhum Agricole mit 50 % vol. Alkohol, diese Rhums sind komplexer."

"This was a nice surprise but the price is a bit high compared to what you get. The nose is fruity with wood, nuts, cane and herbal notes. The signature copper note is also there though only faint. The palate is complex and spicy with fruits, spices, nuts and cane. There are lighter notes of pepper, varnish and a very light medicinal note. The finish medium long, warm and spicy with fruits and wood."
