"#4206 Wow, this is a bomb of flavours. I rested it for 30 minutes before giving it a go because it's pretty powerful when poured. Pretty fresh and intense with fruits and light wood and spice. I like the light smoky and marzipan note in the profile. The palate is dry and warm and pretty well balanced. The empty glass has some light coconut and nutty notes."

"A rum tasted at the WLP. Aromatic depth with a balance between machine shop and fruit on the nose. I spend a good while sniffing this rum, a very good sign for what's to come... An initial taste of unpeated whisky, followed by notes of Caroni and fruit. The whisky is still present on the finish. As much as I found the nose inspiring, I'm a little disappointed by the rather pronounced whisky aromas on the palate. However, this is a top-class distillate, no doubt about it. Edit - Reading other tasters' comments, I wonder if there wasn't a little contamination in my glass."

"A very sweet and safe nose on this Neisson. Yellow fruit, almond, cane and citrus. These impressions are confirmed on the palate with a very soft attack. A discreet woodiness. Very pleasant. But not up to my expectations. I wonder to what extent it's the casks that bring out this smoothness."

"Eh bien, ça ne rigole pas avec ce Longueteau ! C’est une sacrée puissance de frappe qui se dévoile avec un nez nerveux, tendu sur les agrumes, la canne et les arômes agricoles classiques (verdure végétale, notes florales, herbe) et les épices poivrées qui frémissent et trépignent d’impatience dans les narines. On sent qu’il y en a sous le capot. Le résultat ne se fait pas attendre : si les premières secondes se veulent étonnamment suaves avec le vesou, la déflagration vient bel et bien imprégner la bouche d’une chaleur intense et épicée. Le produit brut à l’état pur. Les saveurs sont très prégnantes, même sur une nano-gorgée : les agrumes (citron) et la verdure sont très puissants. Un profil à approcher avec précaution et parcimonie. La finale ne fait pas exception : elle est sèche, puissante, intensément agricole mais vite contrebalancée par une brûlure d’alcool. Le piment, le citron et les zestes d’orange se partage un palais anesthésié pour lui redonner un peu de saveurs. Un rhum à aborder avec précaution pour éviter le depucelage buccale."

"Dégustation rhum et chocolat du Rum Club Switzerland. Un nez tout en fruits, ananas trop mûr et mangue, avec quelques esters en soutient. Explosion de fruits en bouche aussi, les arômes de vernis donnent un peu de profondeur. La finale est trop courte et les fruits disparaissent trop vite. Un rhum agréable et facile à boire tout en amenant une certaine complexité."

"#4149 This is not a cheap bottle but it still manages to perform pretty well. The traditional Caroni flavours are present with some added fruit and spice. There is a medicinal note in the profile that I can't put my finger on. Draws nice slow moving curtains and the empty glass has some leather and iodine."

"Sehr schöner Fiji-Rum, der deutlich reifer und intensiver daherkommt, als das relativ junge Alter scheinen lässt. Kraftvoll und intensiv, ohne anstrengend zu sein. Freu mich schon auf ein Cross-Tasting mit anderen Vertretern des Stils. Macht richtig Spaß. Tolles Preis-Genuss-Verhältnis."

"30.08.2019 A nice evening with good friends and a few rums. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, faint roasted wood, fruits, plum, light caramel, faint chocolate. Palate Light roasted wood, plum, faint citrus, light coffee, faint chocolate, medium dry, faint coconut. Finish Medium long, light wood, faint coconut, medium dry, light chocolate, faint caramel."

"Just got two bottles of this rum today and I just couldn't wait for the tasting 😂 A very nice anniversary release especially when thinking about the price tag. Intense and yet smooth on the palate with nice balance between fruit and spices. Light roasted wood notes."
