Arehucas Añejo Reserva Especial
Most enjoy its smooth sweetness, vanilla-caramel and light agricole touch at a fair price; critics miss power and depth, finding it a bit too sweet and tame. Consensus: solid, easygoing sipper.
Those who enjoy smooth, sweet Spanish-style rums and want a gentle step toward agricole character without high ABV or aggressive funk.

How does this rum taste?
Soft, sweet Canarian agricole-light sipper
If you like Zacapa-style softness but want something slightly drier with a hint of sugarcane character, this is a comfortable and affordable upgrade, especially at Canary Islands pricing.
Drinkers seeking high-proof intensity, deep complexity, or very dry, unsweetened profiles closer to cask strength or high-ester rums.

I bought two on my holiday last year, one I finished during the stay, one I brought home with me. It's been some time since I've had this one so I will update my review once I opened my bottle. As far as I remembered it's a very smooth and sweet rum, excellent value for money especially if you find a bottle on the canaries themselves.
Une autre parcelle de canaries en bouteille
8,2:On the nose, there could be found full and intense aromas of fresh sugar cane, mild spices, caramel and vanilla weaven with toasted oak, volcanique, floral notes(Canary islands are volcanos) linger underneath.Coffee/cocoa , banana, tropical fruits burst out in the end. 8:On the palate it is mouth-filling and intense with strong spicy notes, slightly fruity with hints of wild behind it with notes of sugar cane, honey and some vanilla intertwined with orange peel and peaches and of course volcanique notes that burst out secondly .It is tasty and very balanced, soft and powerful at the same time. Oak is completed by caramel and a hint of smoke that lingers on. Exceptionally harmonious rum inspite of the great complexity of aromas. 8:The finish is long and sweet, syrupy like with some woodiness, vanilla, honey and sugar cane juice, banana completes the finish..
Orange with honey through and through. Smell is rather restrained, but the mouthfeel is more intense. If you get your hands on this rum in Spain (Canary Islands), you get a good rum at a reasonable price. In my opinion, the best rum of the Arehucas distillery.
