"One of the perks of having a huge collection of rums is that sometimes you get surprised. I sent a picture to the destillery of my Dictador collection and they mailed me a sample of this incredibly expensive release. One I would never have bought. The rum plays all the tingles in my nose and palate, but though very good it doesn't match the price. Wonderfully fruity and lots of spices. Sweet with smoky oak, yum. I love the handmade decanter they have designed for this special release. "
"I feel incredibly lucky to have been able to taste it for myself 😉. It's probably the only rum where I absolutely would not have guessed it was a Dictador. The aroma in the small glass was wonderful like cherries. Thus, I thought it would be Sweet...fruity. But lo and behold. I couldn't believe what was going on in my mouth. It was an explosion of flavors. But very pleasant. A long finish, and it's just great."
