Rum Rarities Orator RUM - Fass #2 2016
Community finds a very dry, wood- and wine-driven rum with interesting nutty and roasted notes, but many criticize the sharp alcohol, strong tannins and vinegar-like edge. Overall: niche but intriguing.
Adventurous whisky/Armagnac drinkers and cask-strength fans who enjoy very dry, tannic, wine-cask spirits and don’t mind battling some rough edges for something different.

How does this rum taste?
Dry, woody, wine-driven cask strength
If you like bold, wine-cask single malts or Armagnac at full proof, this Swiss rum scratches the same itch: interesting, rustic, but definitely not about comfort or sweetness.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers seeking sweetness, softness or classic molasses rum flavors rather than dry wood, tannins and wine acidity.

Etwas Nelke. Am Ende deutlich Haselnuss. Mal was anderes, jung, Fasstärke, Eigenproduktion aus der Schweiz. Biomelasse aus Paraguay in einen Brunello Di Montalcino Fass ausgebaut. Durchaus interessant. Danke dafür 😊
