Damoiseau 12 ans d’âge
Highly praised as a balanced, dry and woody Damoiseau with pleasant orange, almond and spice notes. Complex enough to stay interesting while remaining very approachable at 42%.
Those building their palate who want a dry, balanced, lightly woody Guadeloupe rum that’s easy to sip and gives a first taste of agricole-style character without high ABV intensity.

How does this rum taste?
Balanced, dry and gently woody Damoiseau
If you like balanced, 40–43% sippers like aged Barbancourt or soft agricoles, this Damoiseau will feel familiar—just don’t expect the punch of cask strength bottlings.
Fans of punchy cask-strength or very intense agricoles who want big power, deep complexity, long finishes or strong funk for the price.

I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

The first thing that comes to mind with this rum is that it's too light. It has been diluted far too much and I would have loved a higher ABV. It's still fresh and has the Damoiseau flavours; fruity vanilla and light wood. There is also a nice hint of caramel and chocolate. Price to quality is can be discussed :-)
Un blend mélasse-pur jus très agréable.
Bon rhum, mais il me laisse sur ma faim. Pas assez de profondeur, pas assez de fruité. Équilibré mais manque un peu de mordant.
