How does this rum taste?
- easy drinking Rum
- breites fruchtiges Aromenprofil
- die Nase ist das Beste an diesem Rum
Worthy Park’s Special Cask Series Madeira leans into fruity and woody notes, with sour cherry, green apple, light wood, and vanilla cropping up repeatedly in tastings. Tasters especially highlight the "fruchtig (!), ein wahrer Obstsalat" nose (primus) and a palate where spicy, peppery oak and red fruit come forward. The aroma—the undisputed winner for some—is described as “fresh, light wood, light apple, faint floral” (Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰), though several users note the palate seems less complex or gets "zu würzig und scharf trotz nur 45%" (Tim). Occasional heat and perceived dilution were mentioned, but many found it an "easy drinking Rum, dem aber... nicht die Komplexität fehlt" (Jakob).

"18.02.2023 Relaxing at home with some samples. Colour Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, light apple, faint floral, light wine, light berries, faint caramel. Palate Light, round, light wood, light cherry, faint caramel, light apple, light Madeira, light sweet, faint floral. Finish Medium long, round, light wood, faint smoke, light apple, spice, light cherry, spice."
"The nose promises here clearly more than the rum can offer on the palate. There I find him on a high level. Something raspberry syrup I perceive. Very broad fruity aroma profile. Great. Not much left of it on the palate, unfortunately. It seems but strongly diluted and little coherent."
"I like it a bit better than the Portcask in a direct comparison. But my favorite is the Worthy Park Reserve."
"The nose is the best thing about this rum. On the palate I find it unbalanced, too spicy and sharp despite only 45%. However, the finish is a little better because it has intense vanilla, toffee and banana."
