How does this rum taste?
- Sherry nose dominates pleasantly
- Smooth, long finish
- Ideal for whisky lovers
The Reserve Rum of Trinidad Sherrywood, crafted at the Caroni Distillery and aged for 10 years, offers a unique profile blending sherry, tar, and raisin flavors with hints of vanilla and caramel. With its 46% ABV, users appreciate its sherry dominance and smooth, smoky finish, though some find the sherry influence overpowering. While the Caroni distillery’s industrial markers are subtly present, this rum appeals more to those who have a penchant for whisky, offering a slightly dry, complex taste. The long finish with a gentle sweetness and the minor acidic or bitter hint adds to its intrigue. However, some feel it lacks intensity and could be better balanced.

"I love the unmistakable scent of Caroni! I sincerely pray that they can reconstruct the entire production process of this Caribbean gem!"

"The sherry is very dominant on this not so typical Caroni. I'd say that the ABV is a bit unbalanced on the palate. The nose is fruity with sherry a lot os sherry actually, vanilla, tar, caramel and light wood. The palate is again dominated by sherry trailed by fruits, tar, caramel and smoky wood. The finish is medium long with fruits, wood and light tar."
