This one is so good 😋 Love the cherry influence and the long finish. It also has some smokeyness in the taste. I'm also a huge whisky lover and this one would be a perfect malternative. Great stuff, love it.
Dégustation de quelques Caronis de chez Bristol. De l’alcool et du fût de Sherry au nez avec des raisins passerillés. La bouche est vive mais pas alcoolique comme au nez. La finale est longue, légèrement sucrée avec un petit côté acide/amer du plus bel effet. Tout à la fin comme un goût de nillon (le résidu après le pressage de l’huile de noix). Un rhum très intéressant, hélas trop dilué à mon goût.
Very enjoyable sipper. The nose is dominant with sweet sherry, which I love. Behind these heavy curtains you get a hint of tar. The palate switches things around, Caroni profile is much more present, maybe not so much rubber or bike inner tube, but tar, smoke, minerality, wood, then sherry comes in. It does lack intensity, but you can compensate that by taking bigger sips. Which is also nice as you never really get any burn or alcohol notes.
