Big step up from the 3 year but still rather ordinary. There is a lot of sherry here and it comes through across the pallate and finish. Sweet and syrupy nose that quickly flows into sherry, little bite and lacking in real integration. It’s a sherry forward more Spanish style rum - interesting to try but not a bottle where I would be a buyer
Way too sweet and cask/sherry driven in my opinion. I can't find any spirit character so overal this is a very dull and standard rum. If you're a sweeth tooth and into sweet sherry this might be for you.
