“Da habe ich das Sample schon so lange und komme jetzt erst dazu… Nase: durchaus Uitvlugt typisch, würzig-röstig, leicht verbrannt mit viel Zitrone. Lieblich-tropisch mit Maracuja und fein würzig mit Kardamom. Hinten raus grüne Banane und metallisch - Kupfer. Zart und eher dezent in der Nase macht sich das Alter von 20 Jahren noch nicht bemerkbar. 8,2 Gaumen: kräftig und verbrannt-würzig. Habe sofort einen intensiven Geschmack von Seife im Mundraum. Dazu passt auch bittere Zitronenschale. Leicht salzig und pfeffrig mit ordentlich Nelke. Sich hier spürt man das hohe Alter nicht, da kaum holzig. Insgesamt etwas flach und für mich zu seifig. 7,6”

“09.07.2021 Attended a nice tasting arranged by a friend of mine. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, plum, light caramel, light vegetal, faint medicinal. Palate Oily, light wood, faint roasted, prunes, light chocolate, herbs, spice, faint salty. Finish Medium long, wood, light chocolate, faint roasted, light mint, prunes.”

“A bit too rough on the palate, very smoky. The rest is a lot of classic continental aged Port Mourant profile, unfortunately overall a good a piece away from the top representatives of continental aged Uitvlugts.”
