Worthy Park 109 Jamaica Rum
Unmistakably Jamaican with strong notes of tropical fruit, cola, and wood, this rum has plenty of funk and character whether you sip or mix it. Expect balance between fruitiness and roasted, spicy bitterness—one to try if you enjoy bold, high-proof spirits.
Jamaican funk, cola, banana; holds up neat or mixed.

How does this rum taste?
- roasted profile with buttery toffee and butterscotch
- nice one but probably better for cocktails
- great high esters, funky and well balanced
Worthy Park's 109 Jamaica Rum lands with a nose that swings between overripe banana, cola, and toffee, showing off classic Jamaican funk and esters. Sippers often comment on woody and caramelized flavors, with some describing a roasted sugar or Burnt caramel edge. The high proof doesn’t go unnoticed—one said, “Nase: überreife Banane, Würzigkeit und Süße harmonieren gut.” – RumTaTa, while @crazyforgoodbooze appreciated the “intensiv nach Malz, Cola und Lakritze”. A spicy, lively palate is followed by wood and sometimes a dry, slightly bitter finish. Strong on value, it’s loved both as a mixer and, for adventurous palates, neat.

"This Pot Still rum is a blend of rums that’s consisting of unaged rum as well as rum aged for up to 3 years. Overall it’s a great high esters, funky and well balanced rum with heavy flavors. The nose is fresh and fruity. At palate it’s quite heavy, funky and oaky."
"for 35€ the liter an absolute PLV firecracker! makes an absolutely horny corn'n'oil by the way!on the nose comes dark, smoky malt beer and a lot of cola, as well as demerara sugar to the fore and some dark berries, pineapple and burnt wood.taste the alcohol is really surprisingly well integrated and tastes intensely of malt, cola and licorice, as well as esters, red berries and papaya.... then in the finish burnt wood, malt, cardamom and bitter licorice, as well as peach and creme brúlée. very good!"
"71 points. Probably unbeatable at this price and very good as a mixer but not really that good pure. I get a lot of wood and caramel, the alcohol isn’t well integrated but at this price one can’t really complain."
"Actually bought as a mix rum, but it is almost too bad for that. A mixture of Esterrum with the typical Worthy Park fruit basket and in addition rather sweet, mildly fruity rum."
