By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Took them to a wine tasting and they drank more than half the bottle! A nose at once suave, fresh, fruity (yellow and tropical fruits) and dirty (rubber and bitterness). Strangely enough, the nose is very beautiful, no doubt because these flavors are in balance. The palate feels diluted, which is a pity, but immediately afterwards the flavors take over the palate. The mechanical workshop is more present than on the nose, and the fruit is more fresh and acidic. The finish recaptures the balance of the nose, with tropical fruit and a bitterness that makes you want to have another glass. Tasted again, it stands out from other Caronis below 50 degrees.
Yes you can tell that he was diluted down but he is just incredibly good - if someone wants to "swap" a sample and has the barrel strong open he can write me.
