It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses and then aged for 23 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60,1%. I remember that I tried a softer version of this rum, but this one definitely stands out.The nose is intense yet sweet at the same time with oak, varnish and cinnamon trailed by a bit of mint and cherry.The palate is complex, well balanced and lightly dry with tar, rubber, wood and cinnamon trailed by raisin and light leather.The finish is very long and dry with rubber and light coffee and earthy notes.
