By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Well, the next old rarity. But somehow not another treasure trove. The rum is very austere at first, but after time in the glass it becomes more and more balanced. In the end you have a very young Agricole with very little power. The Bielle profile is almost unrecognizable. Nice rarity value, otherwise this is nothing.
An OK rum in my mind and you should leave the empty glass and then nose it after a while! The nose is clearly Agricole with a lot of fresh grass and mint trailed by fruits, mint, cinnamon and very light oak. The palate is fresh and has lovely sugarcane, orange, treacle and cinnamon trailed by chocolate, licorice as well as a light flowery note. The finish is medium long with orange, mint and chocolate.
