The "Kill Devil (The Whisky Barrel) HTR" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses and then aged for 23 years. The rum has an ABV of 62,8% and the mark is HTR. "Pretty well priced Kill Devil compared to what you get. The nose has the typical Caroni with tar and rubber as well as wood, leather, tropical fruits and light vanilla. The palate lives up to the nose with tar and rubber complemented by fruit, leather and a hint of vanilla. The finish is medium to long with wood, rubber and dried fruits."
