How does this rum taste?
- Überraschend solider junger Cubaner
- Birne und Apfel lassen sich erkennen
- Angenehmer junger leichter Kubaner
Eminente Ambar Claro brings forward lots of fresh, fruity notes—think pear, green apple, and a touch of vanilla. Many RumX folks found it both approachable and lively, with some calling it an "angenehmer junger leichter Kubaner mit schönen Birnen-Aromen" (@Christian Rudt) and others noting "impressively fresh for just 3 years" (@MarcT). While a few wished for more depth, most agreed it outshines many young Cubans, especially as a mixer or easy sipper for fruit-forward rum fans.

"#4926 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light, fresh, faint wood, ginge, light apple, sweet, spice, faint nutts, vanilla. Palate Light, round, sweet, faint wood, vanilla, light apple, light citrus, faint ginger, light nutts, faint caramel. Finish Short, sweet, fruits, light nutts, light citrus, light caramel, vanilla. This is a surprisingly good sipper considering it was made for mixing."
"Surprisingly solid young Cuban despite drinking strength, not fizzy, very mild and even relatively complex. really good for such a young Cuban! Really good daiquiri with it and generally for me one of the best young Cubans on the market for mixing!"
"A very light-colored rum. A more complex nose than the 3 years of age would suggest. Pear, pepper, grapes. The palate is a little too diluted, with pepper, pear and young wood. The finish is very short, on peppers and pepper. A fine experience for such a young rum."
"A young Cuban.... Unfortunately, I don't really know what to do with it... it reminds me of a diluted pear brandy with a slight hint of wood... it definitely doesn't leave me with any lasting memories"
