With a medium to long finish and a very nice smoothness to it, this is a great rum, especially if looking at the price tag. Leave to rest for at least 15 minutes so it can release all its flavours. Typical Foursquare with a little twist. Fruity with oak and a tad of smoke hidden in there. The balance between the ABV and the fruit and spices is almost the pinnacle of perfection.

Positive Überraschung. Sticht aus den schier unzählbar gewordenen Foursquare-Release angenehm heraus. Die Verdünnung hat hier nach meinen Eindrücken die durchaus vorhanden alkoholische Schärfe schön gebändigt und den Weg für einen stimmigen Aromenkomplex aus klassischen Foursquare-Noten freigesetzt: Holz, Pimentwürze, Pfeffer, Vanille und karamellisierte Nüsse. Keine absolute Spitzenklasse, aber ein gefälliger und entspannter Sipper.

Ganz netter foursquare Vertreter, allerdings könnte der bei 50% deutlich milder und süffiger sein. Leider kein ganz so harmonisches Gesamtbild wie erhofft und recht scharf und bitter mMn. Dennoch ein solides Bouquet aus dunkler Schokolade, Kaffee, Ingwer, Piment,bkardamom und Bitterorange, sowie Grapefruit-Schale. Die sonst so präsente und typische Kokosnote fehlt hier komplett.
