How does this rum taste?
The HERR Japan Tribute 2 is a limited-edition rum from Reunion's Savanna distillery, distilled in 2012 using a column still and matured for six years. With only 647 bottles available, this rum is built upon a sugar cane juice base and boasts a formidable 56.4% ABV. Tasting notes highlight its pronounced fruity notes, particularly peach and apple, with a balanced influence of woody and cocoa elements. Despite being a traditional rum, it is described as having a sweet, floral, and short spicy profile with an elegant complexity. Users appreciate its fruity aromas but note that the integration of flavors might feel disconnected to some.

Nez très médicinal au 1er abord sur le cirage, le menthol et un côté métallique. Après ouverture cela devient sucré et fruité sans réussir nommer ces fruits. La bouche attaque avec des notes de miel de sucre, l'acidité de l'ananas et une fraîcheur végétale. Des notes de vieux bois, des épices et le cirage donnent tout son caractère à ce rhum. Ma finale est très longue sur des notes boisées et herbacées. Un rhum complexe et élégant qui garde une grande gourmandise en même temps.
This is a typical Reunion rum and it's a very good one.
Un savanna léger, fruité et floral avec beaucoup plus de sagesse que certains de ces pairs à l’image des carpes sur la boîte.
Leckerer traditionelle Agricole savanna mit grand arome Herr finish. Sehr angenehm zu trinken, mild und aromatisch. Könnte aber insgesamt etwas mehr komplex sein. Hatte ich mir etwas mehr von erwartet!
