I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
#4422 Whisky & Rom Festival 2023 28.10.2023 Notes. Sweet and fruity. Not really me though. Would probably use it for baking.
Tasted at the Whisky & Rum aan Zee festival IJmuiden 2023. Thin and sugared rum. Mostly barrel driven. Drinkable but no substance.
On The Rocks: On the nose it is very mild with hints of fruit, woody and sweetness. Taste reveals a smooth sweetness that gives way to a fruit and spice and woody that rapidly changes from one to the next. Finish is short with a moderate bitterness and some fruit. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose it is a slightly sweet Pepsi zero. Taste reveals a sweeter taste that lingers with no bitterness creeping in. It is smooth and reasonable. Finish is short with he sweetness fading away.
