"Quite thick caramel-coffee aroma with dried fruit and pepper. It reminds me of Guyanese production. A lot of caramel in the taste and it's quite sweet for me. It has potential, but it just lacks some oomph, some extra layer. Edit: downward correction for too much sweetness Edit2 downward correction again after 24DoR sample"
"I tried this rum at a local bar… Nose: Sweet Mound: Rounder, not so sweet, but, soft rum. Finish: Short, alcoholic I didn’t like it much, because it’s not the kind of rum I’ used to drink. I can recommend it to beginners."
"Revisiting after having the last drops in the 1st of 2 bottles that I have. It is a nice sipping rum but I have to take some points down. Nothing dramatic though. This is a matured version which sits 10 years in barrels made of white american oak. I have a sample of a ,,base,, naga java reserve that I will compare with this one. Smell of green apples and wood, lots of wood/oak which gave this rum it's sweetness. Overall a nice rum for neat sipping although it is shame that the finish is not very long, its rather short."
"I personally like it very much, I wouldn't have thought so. A nice vanilla and caramel note on the nose and palate. I can also taste a hint of chocolate. Not too sweet, has the perfect sweetness. Delicious."
