The "Barbados" is a limited release rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados. It was distilled in 1998 and aged for 22 years before being bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 59,9%. Users gave it high ratings, noting its perfect integration of alcohol, coconut caramel notes, complexity and intensity. Aromas include cashew nuts, tropical fruits, vanilla, oak, marzipan and coco while the palate has roasted notes with mocha and orange peel. The finish is medium long with astringent notes of oak, vanilla mocha and leather.

Very good Rum from Foursquare (the best of the three samples i got). Price per value is satisfying. You will notice the 60% for sure! Alcohol is integrated well. Nose: Classic Barbardos. Cashew nuts, Tropical fruits, vanilla, oak, marzipan, coco, banana, Honey. On the palate: Roasted, Vanilla, Marzipan, with a note of nuts, mocha and orange peal. The finish is medium long with an astringend feeling with notes of oak, vanilla, mocha and leather.

This is one of my favourite Foursquare rums and also the one with the most beautiful coconut on the nose. Fruity with spices and roasted wood.

ziemlich intensiver FS! Neben der Kokosnuss auch einiges an Gewürzen, wie Piment und Vanille, auch etwas fruchtiges Richtung Banane. Am Gaumen röstige Noten, Fass, Mokka. Was für mich eine Top-Note verhindert, ist der relativ präsente Alkohol, sowohl an der Nase als auch am Gaumen.

Eine der besten Foursquare-Abfüllungen die ich bisher im Glas habe. Schade, dass ich nicht bei einer ganzen Flasche zugeschlagen hatte.

Liegt für mich klar vor seinem Altersgenossen aus der CoR-Serie. Ausgeprägte Noten von Kaffee und Kräutern bieten eine spannende Ergänzung zu den übrigen Aromen, die dem klassischen Foursquare-Profil zuzuordnen sind (Eiche, Toffee, leichte Mineralik, Würznoten).
