"Really cool how much Savanna & Armagnac harmonize. Lots of wood, lots of spice, some glue, red chili flakes with dark chocolate raisin, red grape and baked banana, and dark chocolate cookies. Then also a bit bitter on the finish, astringent and with lots of tannins and glue, menthol and overripe banana and strong mocha, and Really Dark Dark Chocolate. Alcohol is very well integrated and really fun to drink. Very drinkable for a Savanna! For me in terms of Savanna in the Armagnac barrel definitely the benchmark currently."

"A comparatively roasty Savanna representative, which in my opinion speaks for the exciting range of the distillery. Apart from that, in addition to the roasted notes mentioned, there is primarily some fruit, wood and vanilla sweetness from the cask. Good, but not a Savanna that I would want a bottle of."

"A superb Savanna from one of the most recognizable series the distillery has launched. The nose is particularly concentrated, with beautiful woody notes and spices that are perfectly interwoven in the juice. Notes of licorice, nuts, grapes, cocoa and dark chocolate accentuate this aromatic intensity. The profile is relatively dark and heavy, but very elegant. The attack on the palate is particularly intense. There's a high concentration of roasted notes and spices (pepper, vanilla, licorice), which heat up the palate, but always with finesse. The influence of Armagnac casks, grapes and citrus notes of tangerine and grapefruit can be detected. Tobacco, caramel, brown sugar and dark chocolate complete this particularly dense profile, where the alcohol is very well integrated. On the finish, the rum is subtler and sweeter, but with a fine aromatic imprint of oak barrel notes, spicy chili and vanilla, and darker aromas of dark chocolate, coffee, tobacco and roasted notes. There's a slightly bitter, herbaceous edge that goes well with tea, dried fruit and grapes (thank you, Armagnac). A Savanna in the image of its label: powerful, majestic and imposing."
