The "Grand Hors D‘Age XO" was produced in Martinique at the Depaz distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Rhum Chantal Comte. It was distilled in 1989 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 15 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. This was a wonderful surprise and if you leave it to rest for at least 15 minutes it really opens up. Only lightly fruity with spice and some wood. There is a floral touch to this rum and it went well with my favourite dark chocolate. I'm pretty sure it would do well with a good cigar.
