The "Kill Devil (The Whisky Barrel)" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 2004 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 61,8%. Really beautiful Guyana. Changes by the minute, so be sure to give it a little time. Initially dominated by lots of green apple with light tea notes. Compared to The Rum Cask, however, a little more barrel influence due to the slightly longer storage.
11.06.2021 A nice evening with some friends at the beach bringing some nice rums. Notes Light in colour. Nose Fresh, faint wood, honey, floral, light citrus, light mint, prunes. Palate Spicy, balanced, light wood, faint smoky, light ginger, light olive, faint mint, licorice, light salt. Finish Medium long, light wood, herbs, licorice, light mint, dried fruit.
