How does this rum taste?
Genesis Vieux, crafted at the Longueteau distillery in Guadeloupe, is an aged high-proof rum distilled from sugarcane juice. This limited release, with only 2000 bottles, offers complex aromas of vanilla and green apple against a backdrop of caramel and alcohol. On the palate, it reveals layers of coconut, passion fruit, and sugarcane with warming alcoholic undertones. Users find it well-integrated despite its 71.7% ABV, delivering a rich, bold experience with a long, spicy finish. While some prefer the unaged version, those enjoying powerful expressions appreciate Genesis Vieux's depth and distinctive character.

Nez assez atypique et complexe. Attaque très agressive mais debouche sur des notes de vanille, fruits secs et finale relativement douce
Nez gourmand sur la pâte d'amande,le chocolat, les agrumes (à l'aveugle environ 55°) En bouche c'est toujours gourmand avec les mêmes notes et des épices, la canne bien sucrée prend de l'ampleur. (Entre 60 et 65° à l'aveugle). Finale longue sur la canne et les épices avec quelques notes fumées qui s'invitent après une longue aération. Très bon vieux longueteau, gourmand pour un tel voltage. Je préfère malgré tout la version non vieillie😋
Très bon rhum brut de colonne et brut de fût. Super bien intégré malgré ses 71,7% ! Belle découverte. Ça chauffe 🔥
