For me, still a touch before the C<>H, although that can be justified m.E. only exclusively subjective and is dependent not least on the form of the day. How much better tropically stored Hampden still goes probably remains to be seen - but for me this is definitely already absolute top class.
Even years after its release, this is still a true benchmark for tropical Hampdens. For me this is clrearly ahead of the 2010 single cask with 12y aging. Amazing HGML. In fact this is - alongside the HV 2010 C<>H - the best tropically aged Hampden I tried so far. Brilliant bottling.
Wow ... really very, very tasty. A real cracker. Update: in a duel against the 6y0 hgml Spirits in the sky, it defends its throne of the Hampdens. Fuller-bodied, warmer and less acidic Tasted again and still delicious. The taste also keeps very well in the opened sample bottle.
