“A solera rum with a dark color. A nose on caramel and Demerara sugar with a little side of cognac.The palate is sweet, too sweet with dried fruits.A too short but balanced finish.It lacks watts and depth.”

“Derrière ce flacon esthétique se trouve un rhum du Guatemala, fait au miel de canne et qui se veut tout aussi mielleux. Le nez est sur les fruits secs, le caramel, les épices douces et le boisé rôti, accompagné d’une pointe de tabac. Un profil classique mais qui marche bien. On reste sur un fruité léger en bouche, des notes de toffee qui se joignent au caramel et à la vanille pour la douceur, puis le poivre et le boisé rôti qui apportent un peu de chaleur. Un profil simple, dilué et qui manque de profondeur et de complexité. La finale apporte une touche inattendue de sucre Demerara, mais se veut aussi simple qu’éphémère. Le rapport qualité / prix n’est pas horrible, mais on sent que ce Botran un produit marketing avant tout.”
