How does this rum taste?
Distillerie du Simon’s 2008 Martinique rum, bottled by Compagnie des Indes, lines up classic agricole and yellow fruit character with regular mention of mirabelle, grapes, and a splash of dark chocolate. The nose hits with "Agricole, Obstler und Mirabelle, aber echt top" says Timo Groeger, while on the palate, users find it a touch herbal, oaky, and moderately dry. "Frais, gras, herbacée...douce épice" sums up Adrien B, though some wish for more bite or complexity. Overall, it’s a gentle, subtly spiced Martinique with pear and warmth dominating the sip.
