Kill Devil make very good finishes on their rums and this one is no exception. At release the price was pretty good, but now it has surpassed the 450 euro maker. The nose is spicy with smoky oak and tar. There is a light note of rubber and some raisin in there as well, a well balanced nose actually. The palate is lightly bitter and spicy with smoky oak, tar and light rubber followed by fruits, caramel and tannins. The finish is long and surprisingly spicy with smoky wood and raisin. Resting and a drop of water really releases the flavours.
