How does this rum taste?
The "Panama" from Transcontinental Rum Line, distilled in Panama's Province in 2011, offers a promising profile, aged 7 years in oak barrels. Bottled at 43% ABV, this limited edition features aromatic vanilla, caramel, and banana. Its taste is characterized by a fruity, nutty sweetness with hints of molasses and vanilla. User reviews suggest its approachable and easy-drinking nature, although some wish for greater complexity and higher proof. Ideal for enthusiasts of sweet, mellow rums with a creamy mouthfeel, but potentially lacking for those seeking deeper layers or stronger finishes. A limited release of 4,824 bottles worldwide.

Sweet nose but with a somewhat artificial alcohol note. Appley and sweet on the palate. A little watery and for me not as cardboardy sweet as usual with Panama. Interesting but nothing outstanding.
I had higher hopes for this one. Given the age, I expected smoother. It was OK, with the slightest oak flavor. Mixing did not improve it.
In the tradition of the TCRL australia, more rounded
You probably get what you pay for. A sweet and fruity rum with some light roasted wood and a nutty touch.
