TRC Uitvlugt (Port Mourant) Guyana PM
A Port Mourant with loads of herbal, tea, and tropical notes, its dryness stands out alongside a composed, spirit-driven complexity. One to try if your palate’s drawn to subtle, layered rum rather than woodier styles.
Complex, herbaceous Port Mourant with delicate tea and fruit notes.

How does this rum taste?
- Tolle Holz-Frucht-Kombination mit leichtem Funk
- very good integrated, light even despite the ABV
- Viele kräuterig teeige Noten gepaart mit tropischen Früchten
RumX tasters mostly agree: this Uitvlugt Port Mourant (PM) leans heavily into herbal, tea, and tropical fruit notes, with a streak of wood and some salinity. Complex yet subtle, it draws out flavors of "Schwarztee Note" (Serge), cranberry and green apple (Rowald Sweet Empire), and spices like anise and nutmeg. Some find the rum dry and unexpected for PM, while others love the "krasse Kräuter und vor allem Tee" (@w00tAN). Finish and wood influence divide the crowd, but the theme is clear: if you dig green, herbaceous, and delicate profiles, this is fascinating.

"Vertical PM tasting: 89 / 95 /97 / 97 (cognac finish) / 02 / 05 / 13: Nose: Classic PM notes with some additional depth vs. the younger bottlings. Palate: nice complexity paying tribute to its age. Delivers what you would hope for in a continental PM with a nice touch of dried fruits."
