How does this rum taste?
RumX members rave about its deep, dark profile and balance: lots of oak and leather with cocoa, tobacco and coffee, lifted by plum and brown sugar on the nose. The 54.5% cask strength feels well integrated, delivering intensity and a very long finish after a short rest in the glass. Highly rated by 73 reviewers, this limited 948-bottle release is among the standout agricoles from Martinique.

Crazy! Really concentrated and intense! Everything I would like to hear in a Bally brut de fut! We are almost to perfection!
It has a very dark and deep color. The nose is heady and enveloping with red fruits, wood/barrel, spices, cocoa and creamy sweetness on the finish, magnificent. The palate is complex, rich, deep, structured with notes of red fruits, black cherry, but also wood/barrel, light peppery spices, sweet and other roasted nuts, really fabulous, in the finish also some tobacco to close a perfect roundness. Abv excellent, I prefer it to 98 for its more exuberant and extrovert personality. In the empty glass wood and seasoned. (Without the final tobacco note it would have been at least a 9.6) (I've tried blending it with Flibuste99 and it becomes something sensational, and if you also add a few drops of Damoiseau1980 it becomes the perfect 10 Rhum)
Retasting with the RumX guys. -------- This was my favourite of the evening. A lot of lovely oak and oak spices from nose to finish. Dry and kind of sweet at the same time. Wonderful balance between the heavy oak notes, fruits and spices. The sprinkle of chocolate and tobacco makes it a very smooth Agricole.
