Pretty good release. It needs to rest for a while or the ABV will bite. The roasted wood goes really well with the dried fruit and natural sweetness. Price to quality is OK.
The bottler offers full transparency: 9g sugar/l were added. Interesting nose with walnut! The rum is extremely balanced at all times. I can feel its age in the barrel influence: Notes of cocoa and coffee complement the sweetness. A very pleasing rum, but it also offers something to discover. I find the grassy/earthy note interesting. I can hardly find any fruitiness: I can taste a few raisins and prunes. I've always given sweetened rums a wide berth in the past, but this one is worth trying.
