How does this rum taste?
Most love its crazy red-fruit funk, salty-licorice twist and surprising balance for 7 months. Critics find it too young, hot and gluey. Consensus: a wild but promising Ghanaian experiment.
If you enjoy MHoba or high-ester agricoles, this pushes similar levers in a Ghanaian way: wild red fruits, glue and salt. If those notes scare you, look elsewhere.

28.05.2021 Relaxing at home with some nice samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, ester, light caramel, fruity, light nutts, light clove. Palate Warm, wood, light roasted, ester, clove, fruity, faint smoke, light salt, light licorice, berries. Finish Long and warm, bold, wood, roasted, ester, fruity, licorice, light salt, nutts.
Ghana rum taste like slivovitz all the time (plum distilate)
Great nose. Red fruits. Strawberry. Flowers. Tast is very different: salty licorice. Earthy some mustiness. More red fruits. Less floral. The salt is very out there. Savory. Matured beyond its age. One to look out for. Great pick by RdL.
