Diamond S.B.S Guyana SVL
Cherry, caramel, and vanilla sweetness with spicy undertones.
Aromas burst with cherry, vanilla, and caramel, followed by pronounced sweetness and red fruits on the palate. While some find the finish short and the alcohol integration uneven, it's a community-backed pick for lovers of bold, sweet profiles.

How does this rum taste?
Upfront notes of sweet cherry, caramel, and vanilla define the S.B.S Guyana SVL, a 17-year Diamond release that leans dessert-like yet keeps things lively with flashes of herbal spice. The palate balances its vibrant red fruits and creamy toffee with a touch of wood and gentle heat. RumX tasters highlight its unique, fruit-forward profile, though opinions on complexity and balance vary. Worth a sip for those seeking a distinctive, candy-tinged Guyana rum.

Very spicy nose ... Wood, sherry, candied fruit... Leather , quite sweetish minimal floral hints. On the palate again sweetish bitter ... Wood, roasted nuts ... Nougat. Dried fruits and again slightly floral. No surprise but quite ok.
Absolutely not my cup of tea. Smells and tastes like organic waste, but not the nice Jamaica Ester kind.
A fruity - sweet rum with a slight acidity reminiscent of vinegar. There are still herbs and various spices and a bitterness. The alcohol I felt only moderately well integrated. Nevertheless, an interesting rum.
Phuuu...... No idea if there's something wrong with my sample, but this was really awful to the point of being undrinkable. The nose gives nothing away... Biting alcohol, something medicinal, a whole bunch of unpleasant spices, wood and herbs. In the mouth it gets almost worse: dryness, bitterness, almost only herbs, cask and nutmeg, all in all incredibly inharmonious. If this rum really is in my sample, I don't understand how you can seriously bottle something like this 🤷🏻♂️
