“Very round, sweet melange of spices and fresh wood. For me, a bit too straightforward and pleasing in profile to strike out even higher in the rating. But that is criticism at the highest level, since the top league from Guyana simply has even more complexity, finesse and aromatics to offer. Nevertheless, a high-class representative of the current Demerara squad.”

“This SWR stands out for its fruitiness. The cappuccino caramel note shares the stage with a red fruit reminiscent of old red wine. In the mouth then again classic SWR. Dark chocolate and dry fruit with baking spices dominate. Wood is present but does not overpower the distillate. The SWR-typical bitterness is kept within limits. More roasty bitterness in the finish and then when it's almost over another spoonful of unsweetened red fruit jelly comes around the corner. Makes a lot of pass!New round with the new SBS together. This is the same stuff znd still tastes just as good as a year ago.”
