Excellent, certes beaucoup de goût de pomme pour un rhum, mais dans ce genre il est excellent.
Mhhh, this is delicious! You can easily taste the Calvados finish, but it goes very well with this Agricole, everything is very harmonious. I don't think it needs to have more oomph - just a light, elegant starter to the evening. Thanks, rumdog, for the sample!
Normand d'origine, je connais le Calvados depuis tout petit. J'étais un peu curieux de découvrir le mélange rhum et fût de calva et je ne suis vraiment pas déçu. Le calva prend beaucoup de place mais il se marie vraiment bien, au goût, avec le rhum. Au nez, la pomme emporte tout d'abord. Puis du caramel, du café. En bouche, la pomme démarre et remplit la bouche puis laisse place au sucre, au fruit et au bois. Le tout est plutôt sec. c'est vraiment agréable. Le tout est encore plus prononcé après quelques minutes à température ambiante. Vraiment une belle surprise pour moi.
