The Lontan vieux Grand Arôme, crafted at the Savanna distillery on Reunion Island, is a captivating rum distilled from sugar cane juice in 2004. Aged for 5 years and 3 months, this limited release of 1370 bottles presents an impressive 46% ABV. Users highlight its rich fruity aroma, prominently featuring tropical notes like banana and red fruits, blended with hints of licorice and herbal tones. Gut trinkbarer GA lecker Fruchtig Floral , relativ neutral was den Port angeht was mir gut gefällt... leider etwas schwach dadurch eher ein daily (wenn man genug hat 😅) Wer ihn zu einem Fairen Kurs erwischt macht nicht verkehrt.

28.05.2021 Relaxing at home with some nice samples. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, glue, fruity, overripe, berries, light caramel, anise, light ester. Palate Balanced, light, anise, light wood, light caramel, glue, berries, faint chocolate. Finish Medium long, light, wood, light anise, light berries, faint pineapple, light glue.
Ein sehr interessanter Savanna GA… die leichte ABV stört hier erstaunlicherweise nicht. Es sind genügend Aromen vorhanden , die das Geschmacksprofil tragen. Für mich kommt hier jedoch das Portwein-Finish zu stark durch, besonders im Abgang.
