Il Clairin è arte sottoforma di distillato di canna da zucchero, le lunghe fermentazioni con lieviti indigeni e metodi ancestrali regalano a questo prodotto sentori di barile accompagnati da un bel tenore alcolico. In bocca sentori di liquirizia, erbe, tostati, speziati e rotondi che regalano una bevuta veramente interessante. Un bel finale vegetale con una durata media/lunga. Amo i Clairin distillati e imbottigliati ma questo Arawaks invecchiato 39 mesi è veramente qualcosa di spettacolare. Super consigliato per gli amanti di questo stile!
I think that the barrel takes more than it gives in this case. Definitely get the wood, which is nice, but the vibrancy of the unaged Vaval is significantly diminished.
Great rum! Marked sherry and grape aromas with woody notes. I initially underestimated it then began to appreciate it. In my opinion the former sherry cask affected the rum too much, a bit like what happens with former whiskey casks.
