How does this rum taste?
Tropical fruit leaps out in this 23-year Hampden—think ripe pineapple and mango, layered with bright esters, vanilla, and a hint of citrus. RumX reviewers love its balance between classic Jamaican fruitiness and mellow drinkability, thanks to the well-integrated 45% ABV. Worth sampling if you appreciate refined, fruit-forward rums with gentle complexity.

A drinking strength to fall in love with! Insanely round and harmonious. At the same time, but still the typical Jamaica / ester notes. Sensational!
This is a wonderful release. A very well balanced and elegant rum with nice fruit and spices. The esters are there and there is also a light earthy note. ABV is really well integrated and the overall profile is close to perfect. The empty glass has a very light smoky touch.
Hampden-typical fruit notes, complemented on the palate by a surprisingly intense sweetness aroma, reminiscent of honey and sugared licorice. A bit too much sweetness, otherwise
Reference drinking strength Hampden! absolute essence and extremely delicious!
