How does this rum taste?
- Balanced palate
- Smooth finish
- Rare and unique
The Trelawny Endemic Birds (Elaenia) LROK is a distinctive Jamaican rum from Hampden distillery, selected by Velier. Distilled in 2010 from molasses using a pot still, this 10-year-aged rum boasts a high ABV of 61.9%. Noted for its intense ester and banana aroma, it transitions into a buttery, alcoholic taste with hints of honey and tropical fruit. Limited to just 250 bottles, this rare release has drawn mixed reactions. Praised for its balance and bold flavors, its exclusivity contributes to a high price point that may deter some enthusiasts. Perfect for those seeking a unique, premium Jamaican rum experience.

"Very light, filigree Hampden at first. Incredibly drinkable. Towards the end then heavier and fuller-bodied. Very light mouthfeel, alcohol also super integrated. By far the best LROK I have ever drunk. The price is unfortunately on the level of the other Birds."
"Very nice LROK cask. However, fairly overpriced imho compared to other available LROKs."
"This is a lovely rum with a touch of wood and fruits from nose to finish. Slightly alcoholic straight out of the bottle but after resting for 15 minutes it settles very well. I detect a hint of nuts and marzipan. Hard to find but very good quality. "
"Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden. Fruchtig, Marzipan, angenehme Säure, leichte Süße die mich an helle Weintrauben erinnert. Das ist schon gut ausbalanciert und einfach ein toller LROK. Leider zu absurden Preisen."
