A very good rum. Very smooth, balanced and drinkable for the volume percentage and Reimonenq. The Fiji finish has definitely done something to the product. Although I slightly prefer the regular Reimonenq profile.
I love Reimonenq and this one didn't disappoint at all. Overall nice and fruity with wood and clear Agricole notes. I like the hint of caramel and nuts as well as the warmth on the palate. Needs to rest to really kick in on the flavours.
The 2 extra years in the fiji barrel compared to the other 6y reimonenq 54% from j.b. labat. are subtly recognizable and make it much more exciting! incredibly harmonious and drinkable, delicious. Nougat, peach, butterscotch and a hint of mint and vanilla pulp with dried apricots. totally my thing.
Nice palette of flavours, hindered by a trait dominant and a bit too much spicy
